Winemaking
The grapes for our Pinot Gris were sourced from vineyards in the King Valley. The region is renowned for the heritage of its Italian farmers and it is perhaps fitting we have made our Pinot Gris in this refreshing Italian style. Our one concession to this style was to pick the fruit riper than its Italian counterparts providing a richer creamier palate balanced by the crisp acidity of this variety. It is a wine that will age well for several years, but is drinking well now as a vibrant youth.
Colour: Light yellow straw
Nose: Aromas of ground spices, preserved lemon, stone fruit and fresh pear skin.
Palate: The palate is fresh and creamy displaying succulent pear flavours. The finish is soft and dry with good acidity and balance.
